Our Story
Welcome to Sparky’s Music Studios! The studio was brought to life by the two of us, Evan and Ashley. We met at Towson University while working towards our music degrees. Through our personal experiences and education, we agreed that we wanted to create a place where people could learn music without feeling intimidated. A place geared around family, having fun, and helping students find their own passion in playing instruments.
Plenty of studies show the strong correlation between music, language development, and enhancing skills used in other subjects. Not only that, but music preserves our culture and brings families together. That’s why we’re named after our late family beagle, Sparky. We believe in all the educational benefits of music education while stressing the importance of using music as a bridge to bring families together.
A clever student recently told us that “playing music should be about having fun!” And we couldn’t agree more! We want you to enjoy your experience in learning and playing music and find what it is that sparks your interest.
We went this far in our careers with music because it sparks our own passion and it’s something we truly enjoy. That’s what we want to do for others. We find potential in every student, no matter the skill level and no matter the age. We’ll push you along the way. You might be out of your comfort zone, but you’ll be having fun and we know you’ll look back with an immense sense of pride in yourself.
We have plans for some amazing adventures – recitals, surprise performances, and renovations! Every student is part of this journey, and we hope you’ll join us as we get there together, sparking your passion for music!
